The strength of a city begins with its people. Behind every strong city are dreamers, workers, parents, students, and builders—ordinary individuals carrying extraordinary hope.

For this reason, change doesn't begin with bricks or concrete. It begins with hearts, hands, and lives changed. This is why we exist: to build cities by building people.

When people grow, families grow; when families grow, communities thrive; and when communities thrive, cities rise.

We believe true change begins with people. That is why we are focused on empowering individuals with the tools, skills, and opportunities to shape a better future.

Our story

Short-term aid was not enough.

The CityBuilders is a non-governmental organisation founded by SaltCity Church in 2024 to create lasting change in communities. For years, SaltCity Church focused on charity—providing food, clothing, and scholarships for children.

2016–2023

Initiatives like food aid for the Igbene-Ehrenren community, and the annual “Share a Christmas” program, which provided clothing to over 5,000 children in Warri—alongside scholarships and other support.

2023

We realised that short-term aid was not enough. After a community assessment showed deeper challenges, we became convinced that real change starts with a mindset shift.

2024

Instead of just giving handouts, we decided to focus on transforming minds and building people. This shift led to the birth of The CityBuilders, a movement dedicated to building cities through education, mindset reformation, and economic development.

Pastor Seun Tobore-David serves as Pastor over Family Life in SaltCity Church. She is committed to enriching families and strengthening homes; building Christ-centred families that grow in faith, unity, and purpose.
